Black Country Woman is a country blues that’s a bit of a sleeper on Physical Graffiti, when you consider the powerhouse tunes on the album like Ten Years Gone and Kashmir. This is one of the two mandolin tunes on the album that includes Boogie with Stu, both of which show off John Paul Jones’ skillful use of mandolin in a G-blues. This is probably not 100% accurate as a transcription but it’s a solid 95%. Really for a tune like this, it’s really about staying in the groove, in the pocket. Even if there’s some variation on the tab, if you keep it in the groove and it’s consistent it will work.
