Get your groove on! This mandolin blues lick of the day in C works out of a standard C double stop in first position (C/3rd fret A and G/5th fret of D). You nearly hold this shape for most of the lick while getting blue notes within reach of that double stop. Because it’s a lick with a groove, it’s a good one to string together to create a tune.
