This isn’t so much a lick as one way to back up a blues tune. This is in the key of E (THE guitar key) and combines rhythm with lead lines into the next chord. This is a very effective way to play backup, especially if another instrument (say a harp or sax) is doubling the line. It’s also a very effective backup to play slow, medium, or fast.
