Today’s Jim Richter Mandolin Blues Lick of the Day is a funky lick out of C. It uses a common double stop in the 1st position. The lick explores the flatted “minor blues” notes of the C, very much focusing on the flat 7 (Bb), flat 5 (Gb), and flat 3 (Eb). All in all, a cool lick that is slinky, funky, but easy.
