Old Time Mandolin: Blake & Rice “New Chance Blues”

If you only were to own one acoustic duet album, you could do no better than Blake and Rice.  The two Tony Rice and Norman Blake albums are ESSENTIAL listening and provide great opportunity to learn flatpicked guitar and old time mandolin.

Kicking off the album is one of Norman’s incomparable instrumentals, New Chance Blues.  A tune that doesn’t know if it’s in A minor or G, it’s a fun jam tune.
